前幾天,才經歷了做一休一的情景,導致上星期我們僅作了三天半的工時,屆時發現,這週領的薪水真是少之又少,讓我們開始擔憂下星期的班,是否會如上星期一樣週而復始。雖然星期日已成為固定休假的日子,不免還是會擔心,平日的訂單是否會過少又停班。
擔心歸擔心,讓我們已經不想再下山採買食材。而過長的頭髮已經搞得我心神不寧,於是在星期六時,問了許多元老後,終於被我問到Mandy有把她親自從香港帶過來的打薄刀。雖然很希望有人有剃刀,這樣可以一舉快速地把頭髮剃短,但在眾人都沒有剃刀的情況下,只好請Cindy幫我用打薄刀慢慢地剪短。說到這,Cindy好幾次因為幫我剪髮,被我搞到快要瘋掉,只怪我很龜毛,所以幫我剪髮的人,也都很受不了我的脾氣。在拜託Cindy之下,終於她又願意幫我剪髮。
可是最大的問題來了,那就是要如何在老板家剪髮呢?!果然,這是個好問題。
最後我們講定好,要趁老板他們出們採購時,在後院剪頭髮,免得掉的到處都是。
星期日,剛好碰到老板與老板娘的採購日,所以一早他們就出門了,於是我們快速地將早餐吃完,然後準備好剪髮用具,就到後院讓Cindy大師為我剪髮囉!就定位後,坐在椅子上,聽到一刀刀的聲響,卻不會感到以往的拉扯。
Cindy對我說:這把打薄刀很好剪。
我回:對啊!這把剪刀不會扯到我頭皮,果然一分錢一分貨,因為Mandy跟我說這把剪刀很貴....
就當聊著聊著,我滑著手機,低著頭時,一刀從我眼前喀擦下去後,我看見整搓髮掉落地面。隨後是Cindy的笑聲。
哇!我變成花媽兒子的袖子頭了!
這下無奈了,無奈的是我最在乎的前額髮,無奈的是這把打薄刀太好剪了…
Cindy不斷看著我頭髮笑著不停,我只有哀聲嘆氣不斷。心裡還擔心著明天要怎麼去上班時,Cindy就說:「大家都包得緊緊的,不會有人看到你的頭髮,別擔心。」心想:「也只能這樣了,哎。」
在澳洲,我們最常碰到的問題,就是頭髮長長的時候。像在台灣,有便利的美髮廳,隨意你要去哪家剪都可以,可是在澳洲,沒有一出家門附近就會有美髮廳,更不會有人幫你剪髮,除了器具要自己準備外,還要找個願意幫你剪髮的人,因為沒人要幫你背著被剪壞名義的黑鍋,然後讓你大肆宣揚,幫你剪的人有多糟糕之類的。所以身邊若是有人能幫自己剪髮,就要感謝幫自己剪髮的人,不僅幫你剪頭髮,也幫你省下一筆錢呢。雖然我真的毛很多,時常把Cindy氣得半死,但是真的很感謝她幫我剪髮。
好不容易剪去厚重的頭髮,終於可以讓我重見光日,更能因為柚子頭,讓我看見一切光明。剪完後,我們趕緊將後院打掃好,以免讓老板覺得我們把後院用髒了。才用好沒多久後,進屋後,隨後傳來的是老板的車聲。我們倆心想:「好在我們一切都清理好了。」
結果,隔一天上班,一點都沒有因為全身包的緊緊而遮蔽了前額頭的水平線。然後每個看到我,馬上都說:「你剪頭髮囉!好可愛喔!」這幾句話,就一整天旋繞在耳邊。
下班後,雖然為了頭髮苦惱一整天,但是回到家,老板娘拿了很有趣的東西給我們。這樣東西我沒看過,也第一次看到吃到,可是Cindy看到時,就跟我說那應該是娘惹糕。娘惹糕多數是使用糯米粉或木薯粉做成的,然後利用各種植物的汁液作為染色,這也是娘惹糕的一大特色。接下來就是老板娘給我們的娘惹糕。
這娘惹糕,吃起來口感軟Q,帶有微微的香甜。很適合當點心。
吃完後才想起今天Jassica也裝了一大盒紅豆湯給我們,於是吃過晚飯後,也盛一些給老板娘享用。主要是因為老板娘愛吃甜的嘛,這樣她也比較不會拒絕我們的好意了。
看著紅豆芋園湯,彷彿讓我們回到台灣,幻想著每次冬天吃到熱熱的紅豆湯,都還會不忘搭配著芋圓和地瓜圓,這種絕配的搭配。通常都是在台灣才會發生的情景,可是我們卻在準備入冬前能幸福的吃到這碗紅豆芋圓湯,真的很感動呢。
雖然幸福,猛然發現今天也19號了,我們慢慢地開始倒數時間。
